The Great Depression is the period after the U.S. Stock market crash. Many people were poor and lost fortunes. This began after 1929 and 1932 was the worst year of the depression. This happened in the U.S. and other countries. The Great Depression had many consequences for all industries. This caused 25 % of the American workforce to be unemployed, and the poorest people had to walk a lot of miles to visit their relatives. This is the most critical economic event in U.S. history.
